About us

Windustrial Risk Management is a reflection of the interdependencies of risks in any complex system, and especially one like floating offshore wind systems with so many uncertainties. We are the coming together of an engineering firm with 50 years experience with floating offshore oil and gas, an economics consulting firm with decades of service to the energy sector, a safety consulting firm that has advised the world’s largest construction firms, a major university’s data analytics faculty, a supply chain optimization business that was recruited to untangle the chaos at the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, the leading wind technician training program, and a California law firm because California is where floating wind will have its birth in the Western hemisphere.

Because the production of floating platforms will be among the toughest challenges ahead, In the next few months, we will select a California site with an underutilized deepwater port, excellent rail and roadway connections and an existing construction workforce. We are already in discussions with a major construction firm, real estate developers, California producers of steel, concrete and cable to add to our team. Wind developers have learned that a shared manufacturing and workforce development infrastructure is critical to keeping costs low and projects on schedule. That will be just one of the ways we will help manage risks for the developers of these important projects.

Windustrial Risk Management is a 501 C-3 not-for-profit corporation located in Sacramento, California.
